Dr. Jones Singer has incorporated advancements in the area of minimally invasive cosmetic surgery into the breast implant procedure. Dr. Jones Singers’s procedure is performed under local or tumescent anesthesia as performed in liposculpture surgery. You will be given oral medication to relax you. A small incision is then made in the fold under the breast and a pocket is created under the chest muscle. The placement under the muscle gives a very natural appearance and greatly lessens the possibility of a hardened capsule around the implant and eliminates rippling. Since you are awake, you are placed in a sitting position where you are part of the team to determine a satisfactory appearance and size. Fifteen minutes after the procedure is completed, you will be able to walk out of the office. However, we do require someone to drive you home. That person must also be available to remain in the office during the procedure. In addition, you will be required to visit our office for follow up appointments to monitor your progress and healing.
A Word About 'Before and After' Plastic Surgery Photographs
While I do make such photographs available for in-office consultations and for legitimate inquiries to this site about aesthetic surgery, I do not incorporate pre- and post-operative photographs of my aesthetic surgery patients who have had a breast procedure into this website or into any other promotional materials.
It has quite obviously become commonplace to see pre- and post-operative photographs of surgical patients on plastic surgery websites. The unfortunate reality is that many individuals logging on to plastic surgery websites to view before and after photos are not actually considering surgery. I value my patients and their privacy. I do not think that these personal, private images should be available to be viewed by just anyone.
That being said, I must also stress that I believe pre- and post-operative photographs are extremely relevant to a private cosmetic surgery consultation, and in my office all patients who are considering a surgical procedure are shown many photographic examples of patients for whom I have performed that same cosmetic surgery procedure. Additionally, we have many patients that have had cosmetic surgery in this practice who are willing to speak to prospective patients about their surgical experience and their results.
We do make 'before and after' photographs available for prospective patients to view via e-mail. For individuals that are seriously considering plastic surgery and who would like to view 'before and after' photos, a request can be made by calling the office at 317-578-0421, or by sending an email to lipoindiana@theliposculpturecenter.info .
All 'before and after' photographs provided in the office or via e-mail are photographs of cosmetic surgery patients treated by Dr. Jones Singer who have consented to the use of the images.

What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the clostridium botulinum bacteria. Although BOTOX®Cosmetic, at very high doses, is considered a toxin, there have been no serious side effects reported from its use to treat wrinkles. Common signs of lower facial aging include thinning of the lips, deepening of the nasolabial folds (a crease from the outer side of the nostril to the corner of the mouth), and the development of 'marionette' lines (running vertically downward from the corners of the mouth). These features can in many cases be instantly and dramatically improved by the injection of soft tissue filling materials such as Restylane ® and Prevelle Silk. The injection of Restylane ® can also improve some depressed scars, vertical lines around the mouth, and other facial soft tissue abnormalities.
The Restylane ® and Prevelle Silk Advantage
As Restylane and Prevelle Silk ® does not carry the risk of allergic reaction that is associated with bovine (cow) collagen, no skin test is required. It is not harvested from cadaver sources as are human injectable collagen products. Most importantly, it does NOT contain any material that does not naturally occur in soft tissues, such as hydroxyapetite or methylmethacrylate, which can result in granuloma (cyst) formation and chronic inflammation. Be VERY wary of injectable agents that contain materials that do not naturally occur in soft tissues, as the risk of these complications is often minimized to patients.
Injections take place in our medical office and require just a few minutes to perform. All injections are performed personally by Dr. Jones Singer. The aesthetic improvement is immediate, and in general we will attempt to slightly overfill the lips and overcorrect lines and folds, so that the desired effect remains once the mild initial swelling subsides (in about 24 hours). The goal is an aesthetic improvement that appears natural.
Most injections can be performed with little or no pain by administration of local anesthesia just prior to the Restylane ® injection. Injection of the lips is usually completely painless, using intra-oral anesthesia that produces total numbness of the lips. For injection of lines and creases on the face, a local anesthetic solution is used that causes vasoconstriction, decreasing the likelihood of bruising following the injection. Our aim is to provide an immediate and beautiful aesthetic enhancement, with little or no discomfort and downtime.
The duration of the improvement varies from patient to patient, averaging about four to six months.

Common Procedures for Men
For men, common procedures include liposuction under the chin and around the waist and the reduction of enlarged male breasts, a condition known as gynecomastia.
The last few years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of men opting for plastic surgeries. Several factors seem to be contributing to this growing interest in aesthetic enhancement.
Confidence: Technological advances have made it possible for cosmetic surgeons to create completely natural looking results with relative ease. The use of advanced techniques are decreasing both procedure time and healing time. The growing numbers of both men and women choosing to undergo cosmetic procedures reflects a high level of confidence in surgeons and doctors.
Career moves: Perhaps more than ever before, an individual's professional success can depend on his/her outward appearance. Older men frequently choose cosmetic surgery in order to maintain a healthy, vigorous look.
A Boost: Men are realizing that feeling good about oneself can improve self-confidence. As cosmetic surgery is becoming more widely accepted, men are choosing both minor and major procedures in order to enhance their looks and boost their body image.
LIPOSCULPTURE - Liposculpture is currently the number one cosmetic surgery performed on men. Between 1992 and 1998, the number of men undergoing liposuction in the U.S. quadrupled - from 5,000 per year to about 20,000 per year. The ideal male body shape is considered to be trim and athletic-looking, with broad shoulders and chest, a flat abdomen, and a narrow hip-thigh area. However, as men age, areas of fat tend to accumulate around the abdomen, the flanks ("love handles"), the breast area (a condition called gynecomastia), and along the chin and neck. Men sometimes seek liposuction to remove these fatty areas that are resistant to diet and exercise.In many cases, liposuction alone can effectively correct these problem areas. Men retain their skin elasticity longer than women do, and the areas of fat beneath the skin tend to be firmer and more vascular than those in women. Because of these and other factors, liposuction in men is usually very effective.
BREAST REDUCTION - Between 1992 and 1998, the number of men undergoing Breast reductions doubled -- increasing from 5,000 per year to 10,000 per year. Although rarely discussed, enlarged male breasts (gynecomastia) is a common condition. Gynecomastia affects approximately 40 to 60 percent of men. There is no known cause for gynecomastia, although there has been some correlation with various drugs or medical conditions. Men who feel self-conscious about their appearance are helped with breast-reduction liposculpture. The procedure removes fat and/or glandular tissue from the breasts and, in extreme cases, removes excess skin, resulting in a contoured chest that is flatter and firmer.
